Our Magickal World - A Thought or Two

I don’t like being told what to do. It’s true. It’s been a problem for me all my life - just ask my parents! The surefire way to get me to do something was always to tell me I can’t do it.

That may be why the path of witchcraft has been such a draw for me. You can literally practice your own way, follow your own path, do your own thing - with little judgment from fellow witches. I’m not saying that there is no judgment because there most certainly is, but that judgment usually comes from those of non-witchy inclinations. Not that we also don’t have our own moments of judgment within our ranks, but all in all, I have found witches to be much more accepting of my inclination for being a “free spirit” than most other groups.

Witchcraft isn’t a religion to me, exactly. As Frank Lloyd Wright said, “I believe in God, only I spell it nature.” I have felt the energies around me for as long as I can remember, I just didn’t know what they were. I had my first altar at the ripe old age of six, not even realizing that it was an altar. The moon has called to me all my life, and I have felt the emotions of others near me, causing me to want to help others and stop the pain that I can feel.

I am so happy that I have met Wren and now have someone to share my love of magick with! I am also happy that our respective spouses are so willing to support us in this journey!

And now, we have all of you to share with as well! I am so excited about our podcast, about the research we get to do, and the lovely talking (and drinking!) sessions we do each week!

Thank you all for listening! We look forward to talking and drinking and casting our way through this amazing magickal world!
